Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the reasons it is used, and the limited situations in which another organization may receive it. By continuing to use Antrim County Criminal History, you agree to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the entry and supplies its results. Antrim County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It stays within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, the web systems automatically receive a limited set of technical details about that visit:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files placed on a device to help measure how visitors move through the site, including popular pages and common exit points. Analytics providers combine that traffic into broader reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Delivering search requests to the selected partner service
  • Maintaining reliable, responsive page delivery
  • Finding and correcting technical faults
  • Understanding which resources visitors use most
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect general interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

Antrim County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains how to reach Antrim County Sheriff Administration, the 86th District and 13th Circuit courts, Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center, and the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or third-party criminal file, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the selected partner's privacy policy, not this policy. Each partner controls its own retention, processing, and disclosure rules. Read those terms before running a search.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to Antrim County offices, Michigan agencies, courts, legal resources, or private search tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before providing personal details.

Some advertising providers may measure activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs through their systems and policies.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Analytics providers measuring traffic and performance
  • Search partners processing a query submitted to them
  • Advertising networks serving material on the pages
  • Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information collected here. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so a breach can never be ruled out despite those protections.

Users Under 18

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, it will be removed.

Your Data Rights

Applicable privacy and consumer laws, including the Michigan Consumer Protection Act, MCL 445.901 et seq., may provide additional rights. The Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs public records held by covered state and local bodies, not private visitor data held by this website. At a minimum, a visitor may:

  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Ask for a copy of personal data held about them
  • Object to certain forms of processing
  • Request deletion when applicable law permits it

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised as practices or legal duties change. A replacement version will appear here with a new effective date, so visitors should review it from time to time.

Effective date: July 27, 2026
